今日は表題の通り
「None of～」「～のどれ(誰)も・・・ない」の使い方を学びましょう。
[例文]
None of my friends drink alcohol.
私の友達は誰もお酒を飲まない。
None of these systems are working.
これらのシステムは何ひとつ機能していない。
このように使えます。
None of ○○～
○○の誰も～ない。
○○の何も～ない。
「誰も～ない」の意味として
「Nobody」や「No one」もありますが、
「None of ○○～」の方が範囲を限定して表すことができますね。
例えば、
Nobody was interested in this.
(誰もこれに興味がなかった。)
None of our costumers were interested in this.
(私たちの顧客は誰も、これに興味がなかった。)
No one was able to sell anything today.
(今日は誰も何も売る事が出来なかった。)
None of the salesmen were able to sell anything today.
(今日は販売員の誰も何も売る事ができなかった。)
このように「None of ○○～」を使った方が
明確に伝える事ができますね。
