1.) Meeting Roleplay: Controlling the Discussion in Meetings + Brainstorming
(Student 4 Leading)
Meeting Roleplay 2: Brainstorming (*Please read "Guidelines for Brainstorming" before starting)
Background: A group of business partners and colleagues from Paris HQ will visit Japan next summer.
Goal: You and your team must show them around the city for a full day, from 12 PM to 6 PM. Discuss where you want to visit and create an itinerary.
Guidelines for Brainstorming (For the students)
You can start by sharing vague ideas with the group. You should not prepare to present a super clear idea. When you begin the meeting, everyone will discuss the vague ideas and build on them, until they become much clearer and the group can evaluate them. Hopefully, toward the end of the Meeting Roleplay, there will be some clearer, well-developed and evaluated ideas for completing the Meeting Roleplay Goal.

2.) Business Discussion: Teamwork
Teamwork Article: Successful teamwork requires effective collaboration and communication among all members. When team members share responsibilities and leverage their individual strengths, synergy is created, making the team more effective than the sum of its parts. However, teamwork also requires conflict resolution skills, as differences of opinion may arise. Role assignment and accountability are key to ensuring that everyone contributes to the team's success, while brainstorming sessions often help teams come up with creative solutions. Strong leadership is essential for guiding teams toward achieving their goals.
Discussion Questions:
What do you think makes a team work well together?
How do you handle disagreements within a team setting?
Can you think of a time when brainstorming helped solve a problem in a group?
How important is role assignment and delegation in teamwork, and why?
Have you ever been part of a team that struggled? What was the main issue?

Maintaining a balanced diet and regular exercise are crucial for physical fitness, while mental health should not be overlooked. Stress management techniques can help reduce the negative effects of a busy lifestyle, and good sleep hygiene ensures that your body and mind are well-rested. Preventative care, such as regular check-ups, is also important for catching potential health issues early, keeping the immune system strong, and avoiding illness.
